If you decide to create your own print file, please make sure to follow the guidelines listed below.

Guidelines • How to create your own print file

01

Template handling

Hide/remove guide layers before export. Guides must not be visible in the final artwork.

02

Bleed

Extend artwork beyond the cut line to avoid unwanted white edges after trimming.

03

Cut line

Create the cut line as a vector path using the spot color CutContour (#E6007E) with 0.25 pt stroke.

04

Gloss finish

For spot gloss, create a vector shape using the spot color RDG_Gloss (#3AAA35).

05

White ink

If you need white ink, use a separate vector layer with the spot color RDG_WHITE (#A59C99).

06

Color mode

Create all designs in CMYK. RGB/HEX is not suitable for print production.

07

Export settings

Export as PDF/X-4. Preserve spot colors and keep vectors editable.

08

Multi-layer spot gloss

If your design uses multiple spot gloss layers, create a separate layer for each pass and name them clearly (e.g. Gloss Layer 1, Gloss Layer 2, Gloss Layer 3 …). Alternatively, send us one separate file per gloss layer, named accordingly.
